Book Covers

This was a student project completed during my tenure at George Mason University.

I created three fictitious books covers to visually convey the information that they each contained. Inspired by the work of Jacqueline Casey, I was challenged to design in the spirit of her clean, striking style, while also creating something new in the process.

My approach to this project consisted of using typography in a bold way, to convey the message clearly. I incorporated image or simple graphic elements to create a visual concept that gives the reader a visual puzzle to solve. The covers had to appear as part of a series, or connected in some way, so all three follow a similar grid and rules.
